 There is a revolutionary new laser system, the Lyra-i ™ by Laserscope® that can quickly and safely eliminate spider veins on the face and legs. Your skin will be left looking smooth and your legs beautiful again. Treatments are effective for most individuals, including those with darker or tanned skin and works best on smaller veins. Laser light is delivered through the skin and into the vein. After heating, the vein walls collapse and seal shut. The sealed vein is then broken down and absorbed by the body. The light is tuned precisely to target the red pigment in blood and blood vessels without harming other parts of the skin. While some patients may be satisfied after just one treatment, two or more treatments may be needed to achieve desired results. The appearance of existing veins will be diminished or completely eliminated. However, the development of new veins cannot be prevented.
